Navigating puberty, adolescence, and young adulthood comes with many challenges, both for young girls and their parents. At times both can feel misunderstood and disengaged, but it doesn't have to be that way. What if our young girls could step into womanhood with joy, intentionality and strength? Imagine if they understood the perceptiveness, assertiveness, strength, integrity and wisdom of their bodies. What if our young girls felt empowered to take charge of their own well-being? What if our young girls thrived on this journey, feeling loved, supported, understood and happy?
It is with great excitement that I am happy to offer an exciting program here at Life at Nature's Pace...Girls' Circles. These circles will provide a safe, comfortable space for young girls to explore and embrace their journey from childhood to young womanhood. Together, with other girls and mentors, girls will learn about themselves and their changing bodies, and empower themselves as they move forward on their journey.
Craft and create. Share and support. Learn and grow. Love and empower. Our circles will be a solid foundation from which young girls can move forward with confidence into young womanhood.
Please refer to the policies page before registering for any programs.

Circle of Friends is fun, lively and social. We will gather as a new circle and become a circle of friends. We will enjoy games, crafts, stories, meditation, sharing circles, and creative expression. We will learn how to be a good friend, and we will explore authentic expression and emotional self care. Girls will learn that all of their feelings are okay, and will learn how to express those feelings in a productive manner. We will begin talking about the changes of puberty and touch on menstruation.
These circles will cultivate self-esteem, self-confidence, and what girls at this age are particularly looking for: a feeling of being heard, understood, loved and held, by a circle of friends and their own families.

Together we will explore our own journeys, healing ourselves and exploring the tools to help guide and support our daughters through puberty and adolescence.

Gathering of Fathers
As young girls transition from childhood to womanhood, many fathers find themselves a little unclear on how best to support their daughter through these changes. The truth is fathers play an important role in this time of transition, helping to raise a daughter who is strong, confident, self reliant and resilient. Gathering of Fathers will help support you in your role as "dad" and provide concrete ways for you to support your daughter as she transitions to young adulthood.
Date for Gathering of Fathers
Monday May 13, 2019 - 6:30 to 8:30pm
